An overview of Ta Dung Lake

Other than Buon Don, Pleiku and Kon Tum, The Central Highlands is very famous for Ta Dung Lake, which is an ideal tourist destination located in Ta Dung Nature Reserve in both Dak P‘lao and Dak Som commune of Dak Nong province.

At the end of October 2019, Nguyen Van Luu (from Da Nang) and his family visited Ta Dung Lake. Coming here, he was amazed at the beautiful natural scenery: "Ta Dung Lake is considered as a miniature of Ha Long. Standing at a high position and admiring the small oases in the vast lake, you can see the majestic beauty of nature. Waking up in the morning and sipping a cup of coffee next to such a beautiful scene is really relaxing and interesting".

Besides the name Ta Dung, local people also call it “Dong Nai 3 Hydroelectric Lake'' as it is the main reservoir of a hydroelectric system. There used to be a commune here called Dak P’lao, but due to the construction of this large lake, people had to move to higher positions. Ta Dung Lake has an area of 22,103 hectares with a 5,000-hectare lake bed and 40 different islands and peninsulas, creating a large and impressive scene. The air around the lake is fresh, cool and pleasant all year round.

What's impressive about Ta Dung Lake?

The first place visitors can visit is the glass bridge located near Ta Dung Topview Homestay. The bridge is made of a metal (for both the lower part and the surrounding armrest) and tempered glass. The bridge leads to a small observatory where visitors can see the beautiful panoramic view of the Central Highlands in general and Ta Dung Lake in particular. The image of a large lake with small green islands, majestic mountains and clouds will appear in front of your eyes. The ticket price for visiting the glass bridge is VND 50,000 (2019).

This is a combination of homestay, swimming pool, cafe and a restaurant with a very beautiful view of Ta Dung Lake. Immersing in the cool water at the infinity pool and admiring the grandeur of the lake, you will have unforgettable moments of relaxation with nature. With a number of impressive backgrounds, visitors can take beautiful pictures. Mr. Luu bought an entrance ticket at the cost of VND 250,000 (combo of 2 adults and 1 child).
